Research Interest:

Formal and Informal Sexuality Education, Adolescents and Parentingis the focus of my PhD research where I primarily explored adolescents’ experiences and access to sexuality education, within family, through structured school-based curricula and from peer group and media in Kolkata and Greater Kolkata. My research interest extends to Sexuality studies, Parenting and Family Studies in relation to Adolescents, Sexuality Education Curricula, Mixed method research, Qualitative research and Applied/Public Sociology.

ii. Taught moduleson Family and Parenting and Social Stratification as Guest Lecturer in B.A (Honours) course, Department of Sociology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2017 and 2018.
iii. Taught research methods and statistics in UGC Approved Job-oriented Course in Applied Sociology in Department of Sociology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata from 2011 to 2014.
iv. Taught Sociology as Guest Faculty in B.A.L.L.B course in The West Bengal University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2011.
