  2. Joined as a full-time Assistant Professor from 4th,2010 to 18th July,2016 in Haldia Govt. College.
  • Appointed as a Full –time contractual lecturer in Mrinalini Dutta Mahavidyapith, Birati from November 2004 to2nd January 2010.
  • Appointed as a Part-time Lecturer in Mrinalini Dutta Mahavidyapith , Birati from July 2003 to November 2004.
  • Appointed as a Part-time Lecturer in Haldia Govt. College from March 2002 to October 2004.

Fieldwork Experiences:

  • Conducted fieldwork as head of the department among the B.A./B.Sc. students (both Honours and General) of Mrinalini Dutta Mahavidhyapith in North and South 24-Pgs, Howra, Barddhaman etc. in West Bengal from 2003-2010 consecutively twelve times.
  • Afterwards, conducted fieldwork along with B.A. /B.Sc. (both Honours & General) students of Haldia Govt. College from 2010 -2015 in Bankura, Purba Midnapore and North Bengal consecutively for five times as an investigator of this Department.
  • Organized fieldwork among the B.A./B.Sc. students (both Honours and General) as head and supervisor of the department of Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam Govt. College, Rajarhat, Newtown in North and South 24-Pgs, Jhargram, Galudih from 2016-2020 consecutively four times.

Research Experiences:

  • Engaged in continuous field survey in selected 22 villages of two districts from 2010-2016.
  • Collected valuable information from different Self-help groups on the basis of Interview, Observation, and also Case study methods.
  • More or less 80 Self-help groups are selected and collected information among the 860 selected members of these groups.
  • Different parameters are selected for examining the Empowerment of Women through the formation of Self-help groups.

 

Attended in Workshop as a Faculty Member of Anthropology in the College:

Participated a workshop entitled Anthropology for Archaeology, organised by the Centre for Archaeological Studies and Training, Eastern India, on 29th -30th Nov.,2017at WBSU.

Acted as Resource Person in a College:

Invited Lecture on the Session “The Embodiment Of Age”on 4th Feb.,2017,in Two day Seminar on “Fashion, Age and Society: The Role Of Media in the Constitution of Identities” organised by the Department of Sociology & journalism & Mass Communication of Bhawanipur Editorial College.

Title of the lecture is “Is the Fashion Constrained by Age? An Anthropological Study of Metro Commuters in Kolkata City”.
